Senior Concerns, as part of its commitment to provide support and education for seniors and family caregivers, will present a virtual seminar titled “What the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Has to Offer.” The seminar will be held via Zoom from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA), an agency of the County of Ventura, is the principal agency in Ventura County charged with the responsibility to promote the development and implementation of a comprehensive coordinated system of care that enables older individuals, children and adults with disabilities, and their caregivers to live in a community-based setting and to advocate for the needs of those 60 years of age and older in the county, providing leadership and promoting citizen involvement in the planning process as well as in the delivery of services.
This seminar will focus on programs of specific interest to seniors and their family caregivers, including the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP), case management services, caregiver resources, fall prevention and more.
The seminar will be presented by Jannette Jauregui, Public Information Officer for the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging.
